What To Do In Louisville Ky Strip Clubs

A Kentucky Derby Guide to Louisville Strip Clubs

Check www.nightoutlouisville.com for more of what to do in Louisville, KY

For those who might be thinking of coming into town for the Oaks and Derby, here is a brief rundown of the clubs I've been to.

Body Shop Lounge: A dump and a dive. I've been twice, saw only one or two dancers worth bothering with at all. No apparent contact in sight, but since I never actually got a dance, I won't say it doesn't occur at all. Like many clubs, I suppose mileage and more might be available, but the one time I so much as hinted at *touching*, not even anything more, I was soundly rebuffed. Besides that one girl, I didn't see anything that makes me want to go back and try again anyway. That said, this place obviously appeals to some, or it wouldn't still be in business. There was no cover on my visit.

Bottoms Up: A dive, but not a dump. Usually decent, if not stellar, looking women, and two way contact is the norm. Big time drink hustle. The new laws have affected this place, but it still tends to be worth it for the VHM lap dances. No cover.

Centerfolds: A dump, but doesn't even really come up to the standard of "dive". Lame is the best adjective I can think of for this place. Girls wouldn't go away until I tipped, even with another person obviously *waiting* to tip. One girl hinted at some good contact, but she wasn't my type, and wouldn't get more specific. No cover.

Classie Lady: No idea personally, but I've heard that if you like 'em dark, this is the place to go. I did try to get in once, but the doorman wanted to either reach in my pockets, or have me empty them. I declined and left. I didn't stay long enough to see if there was a cover or not.

Deja Vu Showgirls: Sucks. Decent enough looking girls, but absurd prices and barely even one way contact. The only girls I've gotten dances from here were the "Don't even *think* about picking your hands up off the seat" types. Others may report differently, but that's been my experience every time I've gone in. They haven't had any trouble at all complying with the new laws. The last time I was here, it was a $5 cover in the afternoon, and $12 at night. This price included all you can drink non-alcoholic drinks.

Diamonds Cabaret: I don't know how the hell this place is still open. Every time I stop in or drive by even on weekend nights, there is maybe one car in the lot, and only one or two girls working, all of who seem entirely uninterested in selling anything. And I can definitively say that I've never seen a girl I would take a second look at in this club. On Friday and Saturday nights. No cover.

Doll House: Pleasant enough. Girls and staff tend to be friendly, and usually amenable to discreet play. Bikini with rare flashes, at least before the new law; now, not so much. I don't think the new law has seriously harmed these folks except in the short term, as they weren't naked anyway. Lots of black girls, and only a couple of white girls, ranging from skinny spinners to thick and juicy. No cover.

Fantasy's Island: This club was previously Caldwell's Penthouse, and before that, Silver Slipper. I've been in here once. If you like 'em thick, you'll like it here. Not fat or ugly, just a little on the big. It was decent enough inside, "small, cozy and comfortable" is an apt description, but the girls, all except one busy in the lap dance area for my entire 30 minute visit, on this Friday night held little interest for me. I will likely be returning at some point to see if there's any variety and provide an actual review. There was no cover when I went.

Foxy Lady Gentlemens Club: This club is a hit or miss proposition. Even during the day time, the talent is pretty decent in the looks department, but sometimes the attitude is enough to turn me off. Nighttime is about the same, with overall better looking girls. If you find the right girl here, you'll have a good time, but the finding is the hard part. They do have the least expensive VIP room in Louisville, as far as I can tell. $154 for a full hour. However, the girls expect large tips for that room, and I haven't partaken. No cover in the afternoon, after 8:00 or something, there allegedly is one, but I've never *arrived* after the time they start charging.

Godfather II: I have essentially stopped going here, though I'll probably try again in a few months to see if it's improved. Maybe the management has paid attention. My wife and I used to go here regularly, because the girls were good looking, friendly, not horribly pushy, seemed genuinely interested in helping her have a good time, and allowed her some discreet touching. Now however, the looks have dropped off, keep your hands to yourself, and it appears that unless one is buying drinks, one isn't worth their time. And just forget about *one* lap dance, if you're not talking about multiples or the VIP, there's just no interest. There was a $7 cover the last time I was there.

Green Light Lounge: Good. I haven't been in here too many times, but the times I was turned out to be mostly positive. The girls have been slightly above average overall, and mileage has been very good as well. It *is* one of the more expensive clubs on 7th Street Rd, however, so be prepared to pay a little more. Bottoms Up may be a bit better value, if you're not picky about a 5 over a 7. I have not sampled the VIP, as it's more expensive than I want to spend, but others have related positive experiences there, as well. No cover any time I've been there.

Marquie Lounge: As far as I can tell, this place is closed. No lights or cars for a couple of months now, even on Friday and Saturday nights. It *was* open one night a few weeks ago when I went by, but not since. It's possible that they will open up for Derby week. I've never been in the place; about the time I was ready to try, they closed.

PT's Showclub: This is about the best place in Louisville if you want really good looking girls and high, if not *very* high, mileage. Be prepared to pay out the nose for it, though. I've never been offered anything extra, and I suspect the girls here fall into the "making enough so that they don't feel like they have to" category. There is *lots* of money flowing in this club, so be prepared with some of your own if you want some decent traction. Many of the girls will let you play, but they'll want a tip. The cover was $6 the last time I was there, and they give you a ticket that will get you back in.

Rivergirls Lounge: Never been here, and wasn't able to find the place. I was on my way somewhere else, and wasn't looking that hard, but it didn't seem like it should be that hard to find.

Thorobred Lounge I, II & II: I haven't been to either of these clubs. Reports from other patrons are mixed. Like every other place, they appeal to some, and not others.

Trixie's Goldroom: In the talent department, on a par with PT's, without the benefit of the mileage. They've also recently raised their lap dance price to $30 per song, and it is, or was the last time I was there, still absolutely no touching. One girl did allow that she'd let me touch her *legs* if I sprung for the VIP, but the insane price structure for those put me off. I have never failed to get a good grind from these girls though, so if that's your thing, you'll likely be satisfied. No alcohol, and less attractive now that they can't get nude, but still mighty fine looking women. There was an $8 cover the last time I was there, and you get a bracelet that lets you back in, if you want to go next door to get a drink.

Trixies Knockout Sports Saloon: Right next door to the Goldroom, this is a sports bar with dancers. Haven't been in here for quite some time; with the Goldroom right next door, the fact that they serve alcohol here isn't that big an attraction for me. No cover any time I've been there.

The Rustic Frog: I really need to get across the river and check this place out. I don't think Indiana has gotten stupid about nudity, so there may still be some other there. Maybe Derby weekend, when all the clubs in Louisville will be packed.

Last year, the Polar Plunge raised $357,000 to support the efforts of Special Olympics Kentucky athletes.

What To Do In Louisville KY, Magic Theater on The River

MAGIC RETURNS ON SECOND AND MAIN

Check www.nightoutlouisville.com  for what to do in Louisville, KY.

"After 10 years in Silence, true magic comes alive again"

Smerlin Entertainment brings magic back to downtown Louisville every month. Starting February 11th, Magic at River will be presented at the historic Theater @ Whiskey Row Lofts at 131 West Main.

This show brings back the days of watching magic in a small theater, where you can be up close and personal. The audiences will be treated to a full evening of laughter, amazement, and pure fun.

The February shows feature Darshwood The Conjurer. Darshwood initially infiltrated the Louisville cultural arena just two years ago by making regular appearances at Gallery District establishments where he was known to perform a guerrilla-tactic style of magical entertainment by offering quick demonstrations of sleight of hand artistry to unsuspecting patrons, never failing to win them over with his signature witty antics and alluring smile.

Since those days, the innocent deceiver has found great success by performing in some of the Derby City's most prestigious venues, including The Waterford Room at The Galt House and the private suites at Churchill Downs. He has received two consecutive People’s Choice Awards from the local chapter of The International Brotherhood of Magicians and recently served as an honorary delegate this past summer at INDIAJaal, a celebratory festival sponsored by Asia’s very first Academy of Magical Sciences in the luxurious tourist town of Trivandrum, India.

Magic at The River is a show for the entire family. Every month there is a new show and new performers. Starting in March, one of the Magic At The River shows will be on a Saturday afternoon.

Magic At The River is at the Magic Theater @ Whiskey Row Lofts, 131 West Main Street.  The show begins at 8:00pm, doors open at 7:45pm. Bearnos's at the Bridge offers special menus for dinner before or after the show.

Tickets are $15.00. For ticket sales and reservations, call Bearnos at 502-584-7437. You can also find schedule and ticket information online at www.SmerlinEntertainment.com.

To schedule an interview with the producer, or any of the entertainers, contact Ray Lawrence at Smerlin Entertainment, 502-276-3737.
