Check out these new Bars in Louisville, KY
There have been a few new bars that have opened in and around Louisville KY. We here at the Planet try to keep our "ear to the ground" to get our readers info on the new venue's in the area. I will mention a few and ask for some feedback on any I have missed.
Gilbert's Bar and Grill on Terry Road in the South End has been open since March of 2011, the owners blew out the walls of their old place Macs and aded a great U shaped bar, a full kitchen and a dance floor with a large stage for live bands on the weekends.
Baxter's 942 Bar and Grill at 942 Baxter Ave, has been open a few months and The atmosphere is very Bardstown Rd/Baxter Ave. There are 3 separate area's with in the bar and great food, "gourmet bar food" as described by one Louisville food critic. Live music is scheduled Monday-Friday. Baxters is a "MUST TRY".
The Bank Fusion Cuisine & Lounge in New Albany on East Main St. is now open Thursday thru Saturday for all your booty shakin needs. The upstairs will be called "Dillinger Room," where they have another stage and full bands perform.
Meat Bar above the Blind Pig Restaurant in Butchertown is also brand new in 2011 with food being offered downstairs in the restaurant this allows Meat to concentrate on a large list of specialty drinks.
